Soundtracks | Skating, D.R.I., The Arcade Fire & Star Wars

Productshop points out the lack of classic skater bands like D.R.I. and Suicidal Tendencies (Two of my favorite bands at one point in my life) on the soundtrack for (skate board movie) Lords of Dogtown. ("Anyway, you probably know that they're turning the brilliant documentary, Dogtown & Z-Boys, on the early skateboarding scene into a shitty looking teen flick, Lords of Dogtown, with Mischa Barton."). He then compares the soundtrack from the original to the remake.

It just so happens that D.R.I. WILL be appearing on some upcoming soundtracks, one of which happens to be skater related:

"In case ya didn't see or hear, D.R.I. has a song on the new 'Backyard Wrestling 2' video game from Eidos Entertainment. Very kool game! And probably the best wrestling game and soundtrack ever."

"We are also expecting to have a song on the new 'Tony Hawk Underground' video game, and a new surfer movie called 'Bruce the Movie'."

Speaking of soundtracks, I'll take this opportunity to finally link to the info on the new Six Feet Under soundtrack everyone's been talking about (new Arcade Fire & Interpol, Death Cab, etc...)

The new Stars Wars movie (Revenge of the Sith) came out today, but the soundtrack's been out for weeks. Here's a review (of the soundtrack). Have you seen the movie? Is it good? It's supposed to be, but I'm having trouble believing it's possible after the last two.

Maybe the movie coming out based on Kurt Cobain will have a good soundtrack.
