Dare I ask what a raw foodist would equate to? Or a vegan raw foodist (which I suppose most of them are)...

um, yeah, because there's a definition of vegetarianism and it precludes eating meat, you moron. and, no, i don't "accept medical betrayal." if you want to eat meat, that's fine, whatever. but lying about it is just about the stupidest thing ever. i have a lot less respect for someone who lies to "excuse" his/her carnivorism than just fesses up. i mean, i guess it's good she didn't use the dreaded "flexitarian" term, but still. she should just eat her fish and shut up about it.

I wrote about this on my site, too! It drove me so crazy I couldn't sleep last night. I was too busy composing a letter in my head that I would never send to the Voice. (And hi! Brooklyn vegan to Brooklyn vegan, I love your site!)

I couldn't agree more with you guys. It's ridiculous to say you're a vegan when you're not and I'm not sure what the big deal is. Though I have to say I think you guys are making it far more political than is is. In the end I found it pretty funny (laughing with, not at her). Long live the tofu mafia!!

the guy who wrote this stuff sounds winny and a wanker, "was vegan for 6 months" "kale and tempeh", spare me, I am poor and vegan I've never had kale (I'm in europe!) and haven't had tempeh for six months, people who have an easy life and know about how "foods" are made and still complaint get me horny, NOT! :)

I always find it humorous when people say, "Oh, I tried going raw for 2 months once" etc. When I ask them why they stopped they said, "Oh, I got too skinny" and I look at them now and they have a tire around the middle. hehehe- ah humanity!
