2005 Coney Island Mermaid Parade Pictures
I missed most of the Mermaid Parade this year in Coney Island (Brooklyn, NY), but that's ok because the fun goes on for the rest of the day. Here are a few photos I took. (Saturday June 25th, 2005)
The ratio of photographers to mermaids was probably 4:1, so it's not surprising that tons of pictures of this event all over the Internet. Here are some more NSFW links...

Jeez, there were so many photographers around. I shouldn't complain, since I was with two of them myself, but none of us stood in the middle of the street and forced the entire parade to stop while I got "just one more shot." It was getting pretty obnoxious.
