Feist NYC In-Store Performance Saturday

This NYC Borders in-store sort of makes up for having to miss Feist at Bowery Ballroom in order to go to the New Pornographers/Stars show in Prospect Park this Saturday...

"Join French-Canadian chanteuse Feist for a live performance and CD signing for her solo debut and latest effort, Let It Die. Lending her talents with everyone from Kings of Convenience to Peaches, Feist leaves no border un-crossed and delivers her unique and touching solo work firsthand. Come see for yourself why this is a critical fave and have your copy signed by this talent." (via the Underground Fairy)

It's gonna be the free indie music equivalent of a bar crawl this Saturday. Going to this likely means missing most of the ERMP bands. Oh well.

that's funny they call Feist French-Canadian - she's from Calgary, which is about as un-Quebec as you can get.

I was wondering about that. At both her shows she made a job about how she can't speak French at all, and I figured that meant she wasn't actually French-Canadian.

The Fesit show was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. I love her album but she was 100 times better live from the 1st to last song.
