Final Siren Festival Lineup Announced
The final Siren festival lineup has finally been announced. Saul Williams & Detachment Kit were the last two performers added.
The press release:
"New York, NY (June 27, 2005) The Village Voice, the nation's largest alternative newsweekly, is excited to announce the addition of Saul Williams, Ambulance LTD, Diamond Nights, Morningwood, Be Your Own Pet, Nine Black Alps and Detachment Kit to the line-up for The Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL™ at Coney Island on Saturday, July 16th from 12:00 noon - 9:00 p.m. These just announced bands join scheduled performers performers Spoon, Mates Of State, Brendan Benson, Dungen, VHS Or Beta, Q And Not U, and The Dears. Plus Tommie Sunshine and The Notorious SHOUT! DJs will be spinning throughout the day." (THX Chris)
I guess Quintron dropped off. Their tour date page changed 7/16 from "Siren Festival" to "???."
If you don't want to go, Dungen & Tarantula in Mercury Lounge is a possible alternative. Then there's always the Intonation Festival in Chicago. And though Arcade Fire isn't playing, they will be in NYC two months later for CMJ.

Be Your Own Pet is also at Rothko with Chin up Chin Up & The Ponys the night before for five bucks.

On toddpnyc.com it lists a tentative Quintron set on the 16th.

They have updated the website with a nicer version of the set times and band information.
It looks much better.
