Random Music Stuff
I'm still gonna compile the top albums from the comments so keep throwing lists (& links to lists) in there.
When I politely asked Eleanor Friedberger of the Fiery Furnaces if I could take a picture of her and her boyfriend as they stood outside Webster Hall, she politely said "no." She was looking like a model. Now she is a model. (via One Louder via shesbitter). Too bad she's not playing River to River this summer.
Nic Harcourt of of Morning Becomes Eclectic was interviewed by the NY Times. Watch him interview Feist, Petra Haden, and more.
Central Village has a list of recommended shows for the month of July. I have a list of recommended shows for this week.
Sixeyes points to a stream of Broken Social Scene's Jason Collett's new CD. Feist, Stars, and other Broken Social Scenestars appear on the album. I missed Feist on Saturday to go to the Mermaid Parade and then Prospect Park to see Stars. (pictures coming). Hollywood Reporter says it was a good show.

feist at bowery on saturday was asthonishing. it was the sixth time i've seen her perform this year and by far the best. simply electrifying. she was very ecstatic to be headlining the ballroom. it was her crowd, her night. she jokingly pointed out that she was wearing a sleeveless dress to show that there were no tricks nor illusions to her performance, but the lady feist is a wizard, a true star. the hollywood reporter failed to mention that after the nerd comment feist added that she was talking about herself. at the end of the show she said that she would be back in september to play joe's pub in central park.
