Pitchfork reported today that the Arcade Fire will play CMJ 2005 in NYC on September 14th. Their CMJ 2004 show at Mercury Lounge was the performance that (supposedly) got everyone talking - confirmation that their 9.7 was in fact deserved. (Was it?)
The Pitchfork story also mentions a bunch of stuff about singles and videos and reissues and stuff (though unfortunately no mention of a Siren Festival performance).
Daily Refill posted the new Arcade Fire song for download.
Coldplay called The Arcade Fire their favorite new band. (thx DrJimmy)
Nouvelle Vague is also confirmed for CMJ 2005.
