In case you needed another reason to see Keren Ann at Bowery Ballroom in NYC on July 20th, Andrew Bird is opening the show. Tickets are on sale. (thx Kyle)

In other Keren Ann-related news, music-blog hallmonitor (formerly music-blog 'the rub') finds it unfortunate that "we're up to our necks in minor talent like Keren Ann and Coralie Clément while Françoiz Breut is locked away, unnoticed by half of the world." That and more in his list of favorite albums.

Oooo... They got the billing backwards. Bird is amazing, live. Keren Ann's just so-so.

His schedule's open; maybe he'll add a solo gig somewhere?
