This photo set of The Hold Steady is from their CD release party at Bowery Ballroom on May 19th, 2005.
They're back at Bowery Ballroom on August 5th and 6th. According to a recent band e-mail... "They are going to be very special, with great openers, long headlining sets by us, etc. We are also working on good official after party options, and more. Anyone who makes it out to these shows will not be disappointed. Come and join us, please. Also, please get your tickets now. Don't be left out. Hope to see you there."

And they put out one of my favorite albums this year.
They were on the cover of the Village Voice.
And I saw them at Bowery Ballroom once before.

nice. Sam Champion are opening the Saturday night bowery show. might need to get tix to that. glad they aren't sold out yet
