caryn: Why, Amy Phillips, are people questioning the fate of this spazzy site? Tell the people.
amy: because us girls have gone and got ourselves jobby-jobs
caryn: True that. Amy, you are moving on Monday to Chicago to become the news editor at Pitchfork. Is that accurate?
amy: indeed it is. and you can fact-check that!
amy: and caryn, you are staying right here in nyc, and you have already become arts and entertainment editor at the associated motherfuckin press???
caryn: Yes, it also proven that I have been hired by that venerable newsgathering organization to be the arts and entertainment editor of a new line of content aimed at the kids.

Amy sucks. She is such a cliche pretentious hipster. And she doesn't really know what she is talking about. She said Vivian Girls are potentially in danger of the same fate as Black Kids? First of all, they don't have anywhere near that amount of buzz- pitchfork is the only publication that is making a big deal of them (check www.metacritic.com), and more importantly their style of music makes that fate incredibly unlikely! Black Kids made infectious single-worthy pop songs and Vivian Girls have more of a lo-fi retro sound that makes them the last band you would consider this happening to. You might as well say Crystal Stilts suffer the same fate as Black Kids. Stupidest thing I've ever heard. Amy you don't need to sound so snobby about every band you cover at CMJ just because you work at pitchfork.
