Dungen | CMJ 2005

Too don't really care for there music. Also this is the same night as Arcade fire in Central park and Amadou and Mariam are suppose to be back that night.

Yeah, but central park shows end early. I plan on heading out to other late shows after Arcade Fire.

Count me in as another one who just doesn't "get" Dungen. To be fair, I haven't heard the record, but what I saw at Siren didn't impress me all that much. Why are indie-rockers insisting on liking a band, that if they had come out in 1970 or 1971, would've been opening for Jethro Tull or one of the many bands in an all day hippie festival or something? Regardless, I just don't hear the catchiness and the melodies, though the songs where Gustav was on piano were the better ones in their set.

i don't get them either. but i guess i'm supposed to b/c they are scandinavian. oh well.

One of my favorite discs of the year.

And their singer makes my wife swoon.

the new video is just amazig, can't believe that i missed them at siren,;/, and can someone tell me how the hell did snoop dog get a nomination for the best video of the year??? there's nothing in it, zero, nada, just nothing
