According to the band's official site at www.ilovemetric.com, the new album is coming out Sept 27th, not October 4th. There is an article about Metric at mtv.com that lists it as October 4th also, but i'm going with the band's website. There is also, I think, a link to the video for "the list" on the news page of the band site. I also don't agree with Pitchfork's assessment of how they "scrapped" the album before "old world underground..." Restless wouldn't let them have the songs back, so they couldn't release it anywhere else. Wouldn't call that scrapping. anyway, i have to get my tix for the shows! Brooklyn Vegan rocks!

Holy Canadians Batman! Checked out The Most Serene Republic at the merc last night and they were incredible. If you are going to see Metric, these guys are opening and I highly recommend showing up early to see them. If you have never heard of them before, check out Proposition 61 and Where Cedar Nouns and Adverbs Walk.
