Sufjan is really just like John Wayne Gacy, Jr.
John Wayne Gacy, Jr. is one of my favorite songs on Sufjan Steven's Illinois. Hearing him sing it live gave me chills.

So, BV, you were at Pirate Night & Fake Tattoo? I only hit Backward Night, which was my first time seeing Sufjan (and Katrina!). I loved it. Did you think any night was any better than the other?

yeah. that really sucked. Though the above picture that inspired this post is from Monday night, I heard him play it Sunday night.

he did play "for the widows in paradise" last night, which was amazing.
does anyone know if he is ending each show with "all the trees of the field will clap their hands?"
the show didn't seem as long as it actually was. i couldn't believe it was 1am when i walked out of bowery. it was a great show. bunky was awesome! (sufjan too, but that goes without saying)

i started crying because the show was ending so late. "no more, no more!," i wailed...yet the band played on. left before it ended. i couldn't take no more.
