Art Brut Live Reviews, Tour & Tix on Sale

"Art Brut are without doubt a band that need to be seen live, and I can assure you they’re worth seeing… and worth seeing soon." [Skiddle]

"In theory it shouldn't work but as a live spectacle Art Brut are about as exciting as it gets at the moment, and long after the band have packed their gear away and headed back down the M1, Pelham Street is awake with cries of 'Art Brut - Top Of The Pops!'" [Drowned in Sound]

"A night in the company of Art Brut is never anything less than eventful." [NME]

Art Brut

'Ready Art Brute?' he deadpans for each song before launching into art-punk tirades which often sound suspiciously like the one which preceded it. The ironic nods and post-modern winks occasionally grate, but when a band has more cheek than a toilet roll advert it becomes clear that people need this timely kick up the arse. [Drowned in Sound]

"They are, perhaps, Park Life-era Blur without the preening and sneering; the Fall for beginners, Pulp for a new disenfranchised generation, with a taste of Magazine's feline tension and a wallop of Nirvana's anthemic surge. Most of all, they are absolutely nothing but Art Brut." [Guardian]

Tickets are now on sale for Art Brut's November 10th show at Mercury Lounge in NYC at Ticketweb where tickets are also available for Brooklyn, NJ, Ontario, and Southern California.

I'd really like to see them so for now at least I'm holding off on getting tickets for the Mercury Lounge show since I think I might just go to the Tribeca Grand show instead. I've been to a few shows there before, but does anyone know how to RSVP for it?

they haven't really announced it yet, but once they do it'll probably be RSVP to getrad@igetrvng.com

Thanks BV. I may still get a ticket for the Mercury Lounge show anyway as it's a more natural environment for a show than the Tribeca Grand is.

i saw them at Primavera Sound, just before Maximo Park (and Arcade Fire), they were pretty fun. nothing too great, and their schtick got old kinda fast, but i'd go see 'em again.

We watched Art Brut rock down the Empty Bottle the night before Pitchfork 2006. Got some decent pictures too.
