Neko Case Neko Case "has just finished recording her fifth studio album. Yvette Ray, publicist for her Canadian label, Mint Records, told the Straight that the record is titled Fox Confessor Brings the Flood. Currently being mastered and scheduled for release next February, the album was recorded in Tucson, Arizona and will span 11 original songs plus the traditional country number “John Saw That Number”. Featured performers on the record include Joey Burns and John Convertino of Calexico, Dallas and Travis Good from the Sadies, and Howe Gelb from Giant Sand. Case also gets help from a member of the rock ’n’ roll Hall of Fame, as keyboardist Garth Hudson from the Band guests on the disc." [Straight]

The New Pornographers just played Bowery Ballroom for CMJ. As the Village Voice and Gothamist pointed out, Neko was not there. She will be at their next two October shows at Webster Hall though.

A few days after the New Porn gigs, she'll celebrate her new solo album at Joe's Pub with an early and late show. Nov 17, 2005 - 7:30 & 9:30 - tickets on sale.

Telecharge is weird, so if the ticket link doesn't work for you, just search for the show from their homepage.
