Stars show added at Hammerstein, Death Cab Headlines
The mystery of who was opening the Death Cab For Cutie show at Hammerstein Ballroom has been solved. They ARE both opening, but it's Youth Group at the now sold out show on 10/19 and Stars at the newly added 10/20 show that goes on sale Friday at 10AM. (thx Brian)

How big of a venue is Hammerstein? Is it bigger or smaller than Roseland?

It's about the same size as Roseland (the official capacity is something like 3,400). I like it a little better, though. It's a little classier than Roseland. The sound there isn't very good, but it's best up top (you can buy an unreserved balcony seat for most shows whereas you can't sit up there at Roseland unless you're a VIP or on the list).
