"Sorry kids, but Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are now officially no longer a completely DIY success story. The band's management told Pitchfork today that CYHSY have signed to Wichita Recordings in the UK, home of Bloc Party, Bright Eyes, My Morning Jacket and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They hope to release the band's self-titled debut album over there in January, with the possibility of a limited-edition single preceding it. No word yet on any US record deals. For now, the boys are sticking with their unique set-up with ADA Distribution, which allows the mammoth distributor to work directly with the band, without any label middleman interference."
