Metric was amazing! Emily absolutely rocked! I wish there was more room to dance but the sound at Southpaw made up for it. My ears are still ringing!

I really regret that I waited too long to get tickets for this show before it sold out. I went to see the De La Soul/Fishbone/Lauryn Hill show at Summerstage last night, which ended early enough that I could've tried to get in right when Metric went on, but I was just too beat up and didn't wanna take the chance that I wouldn't get in. I didn't find out that the Summerstage show was slated to end at 8:30 (actually it ended closer to 9:30) until the day before and by that time the Southpaw tickets were gone.

Between their sold-out shows at Bowery Ballroom (I couldn't go because I was Bob Mould that night) and Southpaw, I fear that the next time they come around they'll be at Webster Hall or something, but I'd go see them anyway and I hope that they come back because they're obviously demand for them here. I love the new album and I wish them all the success in the world. It's well-deserved. I'm just mad at myself for not going to see them earlier.

The Du, said Bob in some recent interviews on this tour, will not be reuniting. Judging from the attitude Grant displayed at his recent Mercury show, he's not too interested in burying the hatchet either.

Bob's show at Irving was incredible. New songs sounded great, and the classics were, well, classic.

A stomach ache had me out of the Metric show at Southpaw a bit early, but what I saw was really good. I'll have to catch them the next time they're in town.

Drewo, if I had the answer to that question or if I could get them to do it somehow, I would have supernatural powers. I can only dream, but as Glenn said, they all hate each other (read the issue of Magnet with them on the cover) and can't seem to kiss and make up, so I don't think it'll happen. For now, though, I'll take the show I saw the other night because it's the next-closest thing. Incidentally, my review of Wednesday night's show is up here:

Also, to allude to what Bryan was saying about them playing next to his apartment, I live in Astoria and don't have a car and it was on a week night, so it would've taken me eons to get back home from Southpaw, so that was another factor in my decision to go home after the Summerstage show last night.
