New Broken Social Scene (female) Vocalist

"Billboard talks to James Shaw about juggling duties with Metric and Broken Social Scene. It's this scheduling nightmare that's led BSS to recruit some new help on their current tour, namely vocalist Lisa Lobsinger, formerly of Calgarians Reverie Sound Revue. Anyone who's heard the RSR stuff (there's a couple working MP3s on that link) know that Lobsinger has got the pipes, but the faithful still aren't convinced." [Chromewaves]

I wasn't able to get into their Ottawa show a few nights ago, but apparently she fits into the group really well.

(and a plug: my site is giving away the new Broken Social Scene album this week!)

Hi Vegan, FYI...

"formerly of Calgarians Reverie Sound Revue."

should be

"formerly of Calgary's Reverie Sound Revue."

Sorry - don't mean to be picky, but as an ex-Calgarian, I gotta make sure that on those ultra very rare occasions when calgary gets music press that it's done right.

Cheers,

Sorry - just realized you were directly quoting from chromewaves. My bad.

Lisa is incredible and has a unique voice. Can't wait for RSR's new record which is said to come out 2007! Can't wait for BSS to come to Fort Lauderdale Nov 1st! :D :D.
