Priestess is a heavy metal/rock buzz band from Montreal that I missed at Pop Montreal, and during CMJ, and when they sat in for Black Mountain at the Bowery. Coolfer recently reported their signing to RCA. They've got 3 songs & 2 videos you can stream at their website, and at their MySpace page.
They're playing the free Ace Fu show in NYC on October 27th, and they're back to play Bowery Ballroom on December 3rd. All tour dates below...

Great band, but they weren't signed to RCA -- their lead singer posts on a Montreal message board, and someone asked him about the Coolfer post, and he explicitly stated it was incorrect.

Nice shot of the horseshoe tavern, my favortie place in toronto!
They're playing the Bovine Sex Club on Halloween night?? whoa, that's a very bizarre venue and perfect for Halloween, I recommend you make the drive!
Cheers!

People are idiots. Seriously, I was at that Hold Steady show. This band is a complete joke. God I miss 1992-1996, when indie kids actually had, you know, taste.

Thanks for info, Matthew. I was sure they signed to RCA but will look into it and make a retraction if necessary.

Priestess is the real deal. Yeah, playing with the HoldSteady isn't the rigth crowd for them. They recently toured with Motorhead. But they're more like Ac/dc, Sabbath, Qotsa or something. The thing that makes the difference is these guys have huge huge catchy songs, cool frontman and a phenomenal drummer. I'll be there at Bowery this time.
