I went to Monday's show because my dad saw them in 68 and I decided that I thought it would be cool if we went to one of these shows together. So he flew up here on sunday. I bought really good seats off of Craiglist for 75 under face each ticket on Monday and we had a great time. However the show was not that great. Infact I was kind of bored but at least I got to have great time with my dad who I don't see very often.

I just purchased and viewed the new DVD Cream set from Royal Albert Hall. It was phenomenal, and also inspiring to see 3 people who somehow found a way to work together again to create something better than any one of them singly could. Could it really happen that Cream may reunite to create an album of new music, and continue to occasionally tour?
The previous entry by "danfun" has a good point: Cream and improvisational jazz/rock isn't for everyone. Back in the late 60's and early 70's when I would listen to my Live Cream album over and over again, head between two speakers, I was also becoming an instrument musician myself, and to this day greatly enjoy a true free-form "jam" session. But such things are almost totally lacking in today's music scene- it's more acceptable for me to play a lead "bass" than a lead guitar when I do current songs....
