Grizzly Bear | MP3s & Homoerotic Streams

"Grizzly Bear is romantic, emotional, dreamy and sincere. It combines the quirkiness of Animal Collective in the form of a Syd Barrett solo project." [Kanine Records]

Grizzly Bear "Brooklyn-based quartet GRIZZLY BEAR have generated some buzz with their sleepy, psychedelic first album and dynamic live shows, but everyone is really twittering about their suggestive press photos. Band members are pictured sprawled out on a shag carpet, in front of a sign on a barn proclaiming, 'Gay Seed, Inc.,' and most blatantly, shirtless and shaving each other's faces in the bathroom. Good thing the music is just as seductive." [The Village Voice awards them for Best Homoerotic, Lackadaisical-Chic Press Photos]

IMO this band has been overlooked for quite sometime. despite some naysayers, I thought they were the highlight at the knit show---but it was obvious they should have been playing to their fans and not the mountain goats fans who were basically just frothing at the mouth to see mr. goat himself. remixes are usually lame, but I like some of these.

these guys are coming to where i live really soon and i'm really excited to finally see them live. particularly because i've heard its great and i'm really looking forward to this re-release because some of the remixes i've heard are so awesome.i know i really like the album without the remixes, so i'm excited :)

"Gizzly" goes well with the homoerotic photo. Why am I looking at this press release anyway?

I like the cover of Owner of a Lonely Heart on their website.

the album = magical x 100.
the band = amazing x 1000.

i cant wait to hear all the remixes. i have yet to be anything but impressed by everything GB is involved with, and i can only imagine whats to come in the future. now if they would only get out to the west coast.....

i love don't ask the original and I love don't ask with final fantasy. i would have to pat dean on the back for having good taste. i'm more excited for new material than remixes though. i don't hear animal collective in them though, label must be trying to drop buzz names....
