this has nothing to do with the arctic monkeys, but i had to post to say that i saw system of a down at webster hall last night, and it was un-f'n-believeable...system is quite possibly the best band in years. amazing. really amazing. i haven't been this excited about a band in i don't know how long.

do you perhaps happen to be the same individual who loved their album in the comments a few days ago as well? Sounds like some label peeps trying to generate some buzz.

nooooooooooooooooooo! that wasn't me!! i'm just a fan who was excited about the show last night! o my gosh!

Arctic Monkeys are going to be huge in 2006. They only have one single out and they have a major buzz on both sides of the Atlantic...

I'm impressed

Listen to "Mesmerize" all the way through. SoaD's best, and, hands down, the album of the year.

brooklyn vegan is a bad person, he doesnt post about system of a down enough!!!

Posted by Anonymous | November 23, 2005 4:37 PM

bv probably doesn't post about them because he heard a few of their songs.

Posted by jay | November 23, 2005 5:06 PM

You have to listen to all of Mesmerize to appreciate the brilliance of SoaD.

What about BARR's new album Reinforced Jewel Case? Not an acronymn but on the best of 2005 for sure.

Why does BV hate System of a Down?? I always felt that this was a website that would appreciate SoaD, and I highly encourage all of you to give them another listen and tell BV to start posting more about SoaD.

I'm the person who posted here about System of a Down on some other post a few days ago (sorry for not responding to this sooner) and I'm just a fan, not a label guy or anything like that. I didn't see the Webster Hall show nor have I heard the new album yet, but I love Hypnotize (as well as their previous album Toxicity) and I saw them a few months ago at the Meadowlands in Jersey. They put on a great show, despite the awful acoustics of that venue.

I forgot to mention that I reviewed that System show back in August. Here's the link:
