Serena Maneesh | US Tour, 1st NYC Show | MP3s

Norway's Serena Maneesh play Mercury Lounge in NYC on Jan 21, 2006.
"Shoegaze. Dream pop. Space rock. Indie pop. Drone pop. Noise pop. Whatever the hell you call it......Tickets went on sale yesterday for the January show in NYC, so get on it! That Mercury Lounge sure is small." [Pitchfork where you'll find the rest of the tour dates]
Nick Sylvester gave their new self-titled album a Pitchfork 8.6. Cokemachine glow gave it an 8.1.

pitchfork really messed up with this one. i couldn't care less about this band and I'm not sure I know anyone that would argue against me

i went on honeymilk and they seem to be a really good band. They have the beauty of mbv and the energy of sonic youth. that has to be interesting

Truly one of the best albums of 2005!
Seen them live a couple of times, and it's just mindblowing beautiful!
You might wanna give the album a couple of listenings first, cuz the melodies are well hidden bebeath a blanket of white noize!
Cannot recommend them enough!
Big time spiritual vibrations, aiming for your heart and soul!
