The 2005 Country Music Awards | Results & Pictures
I wasn't there, but I did share the train with people on their way home from the show at MSG. They were decked out in country gear and holding programs.

'The 39th Annual CMA Awards' was broadcast on Tuesday, Nov. 15 for the first time outside of Nashville, live from Madison Square Garden in New York City on the CBS Television Network. Keith Urban won his second consecutive CMA Male Vocalist of the Year and his first Entertainer of the Year Award, making him the only Country artist in CMA Awards history to win the Horizon, Entertainer and Male Vocalist of the Year Awards. It is a sad day in Country Music when they award the Highest award to a man who wears an ear ring in his ear to a Country Music Awards Show. I bet Johnny Cash is turning in his grave. And what is with the GRUNGE Look? What has happened to tradition? The wemon look like they went to Wal Mart and could not afford a nice dress. And how did Gretchen get Female Vocalist? She is the pack leader of GRUNGE

HAVING BEEN [AND STILL AM] A COUNTRY MUSICIAN HERE IN THE TALENTED STATE OF OKLAHOMA I HAVE TO AGREE WITH MY FRIENDS THAT THE AWARDS WAS ALMOST COUNTRY PORNO AND CERTAINLY WAS NOT WELL LIKED AT ALL......THANKS???????
