The Arcade Fire & U2...now that's a combo! It would be nice if they would roll over to Edmonton.

Now that Arcade Fire has conquered the living rock world, I heard that Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain and Bob Dylan are going to rise from the grave for an all-star corpse jam.

the performance, while very cool, was far from amazing...

exactly. i watched it via a link at Us Kids Know, and was... very disappointed.

Let's hope Arcade Fire doesn't fall into the egoistic excess of U2. Music really loses its meaning when it becomes a showcase for over-the-top bravado a la bono.

i was there and the crowd mainly U2 fans, weren't sure what to do with this situation, i on the other jumped up and down and sang along, however , i don't think the crowd understood just how big a deal this duet was. Too bad cuz if it were in an intimate setting, I think it could have been a really momentus moment but alas it was not. They Arcade Fire gave a great great performance that night though.

I love U2, especially their older music. However, although the acoustics were horrible in Montreal (I was there the first night), I was blown away by Arcade Fire. I now have two of their cds and their music fills the house and the car.

I can't believe it, my co-worker just bought a car for $24238. Isn't that crazy!
