Tribeca Rock Club Shutting Down | Condos Opening Up
"In an all-too-familiar tale, the ongoing development of Lower Manhattan is forcing the closing of another of New York City's most beloved venues. After only three short years of purveying live music to the masses, Tribeca Rock Club will be shutting its doors in mid-December. Not long thereafter, the building will be torn down and newly-constructed luxury condos will be erected in its place."
"The club's booking team, Rocks Off, will continue to focus on developing the wildly popular Rocks Off Concert Cruise series, as well as presenting events at the Knitting Factory, BB King's, and elsewhere. Needless to say, they're working on some special events for the club's final weeks, so keep an eye on www.tribecarockclub.com for some last-minute announcements."

TRC was a nice venue... but I won't miss it too much. All to often the crowds were way too chatty
even with the music being as loud as it was
