We Are Scientists @ FADER Lounge

We Are Scientists are getting a lot of attention. Jeff CV called them "buzz band du jour" in his recent Gothamist review of their show at Bowery Ballroom. It's especially true in the UK where their debut album was released in October. They're even lined up to play next year's NME tour with Arctic Monkeys. All the buzz overseas should help this NYC (via California) band sell their album when it's released in the U.S. on January 10th.

They have three videos you can watch at their site, and three songs streaming on their Mypace page. This photo set comes from their short appearance at the FADER Lounge on Orchard Street in NYC during CMJ 2005 (Sept 17, 2005)

That was a great set. Once again, think I was standing near you. Bummed I couldn't make that recent Bowery show. Their album is great.

Just so you know: the lead singer is from South Florida, he had a bunch of family at their show in Orlando.
