Bad Brains w/ John Joseph (Cro-Mags) playing CBGB in '06

Bad Brains “The Bad Brains were an American all-black hardcore punk and reggae band, originally formed in Washington, DC in 1977. They are considered pioneers of hardcore punk.” [Wikipedia]

“John ‘Bloodclot’ Joseph is the former roadie for the Bad Brains; an early 80s hardcore band. He joined the navy when he was 17, but quit it 6 months later to focus on music. He was a victim of violence in the past. Joseph went on to fame as the lead singer of the Cro-Mags; a NYC hardcore band that is credited with starting the Krishna-core movement that bridged the gapo between straight edge and traditional hardcore music. He now works in association with Krishna movements to build Hare Krishna temples and has action in his vegetarian catering business.” [Wikipedia]

Bad Brains “featuring John Joseph” are playing two shows at CBGB – February 24 & 25, 2006. No tickets yet. This is a lot more interesting than the club’s New Years Eve show.
