Bono's political actions and music are not related at all. He uses his status as a musician for a good cause, way more than most people do with their fame. Who cares if U2 sucks now? If Bono makes money with them and spends it in a good way it's worth it. There's enough good music out there and good old U2 albums.

I don't like Bono, this whole do gooder attitude is extremely annoying.

When an individual does something good, like a good deed for instance, it is courtesy to keep quiet about it, and not bring attention to yourself. Bono does not do this, he feels that he is an example for all, but he is not he is a human being just like the rest of us. A human being with a shitty band. The fact that he is christian, but is obviously to stupid to read the bible (because it states that you are too keep good deeds to yourself) is all the more richer.
