Kudu and Brazilian Girls this NYC New Years Eve

Both of Nublu's superstars are playing at least one show each this New Years Eve. Brazilian Girls have two sets booked at CODA - 8PM and 1AM. Advanced tickets are available. KUDU are playing "A Good Old Fashioned New Years Loft Party" with Certainly Sir and Langhorne Slim and lots of DJs at Asterisk (258 Johnson Ave btw Bushwick and White, Brooklyn). It's $20 at the door or $15 with RSVP to rsvp@newreleasenewyork.net. More information at Re:Up.

Brazilian Girls

OR, if the NY Times is to be believed, Nublu is throwing it's own 12-hour party that may or may not include both of those bands...."The tiny spot - no seats, no stage - is planning a 12-hour party (doors open at 8 p.m., live music starts at midnight, $20) tentatively including performances by three of its regular bands, Brazilian Girls, Kudu and Forro in the Dark; the first two are smart funk as imagined by jazz musicians, and Forro in the Dark is a bewitching jam session of accordion-and-percussion music from northeastern Brazil."
