Holy shit, when was the last time they played NY? That is going to be fucking awesome, despite it's venue.

"What's the story he says Butterglory. What's the news he says the Silvery Jews.".

This should be a good show. Pitchfork gave American Water a 9.9, very interesting.

American Water came out in 1998, though - well before Pitchfork grew to the juggernaut indie tastemaker it is today.

pitchfork gives a lot of bullshit reviews... but in a general way they're very good

from the pfork newswire it sounds like no malkmus. the whole not a "meeting of the masterminds" but rather a "theater of talented nephews" or whatever. I'll take one ticket please.

you can probably count on the drummer being Brian Kotzur from Bobby Bare Jr.'s band.

(and of the Brian Kotzur band). duh.

True, but pitchfork's album reviews are mostly spot on. Look at the reviews for Pavement, Built To Spill, etc all released before Pitchfork became the "juggernaut indie tastemaker". (I would put Neutral Milk Hotel in there but it was reviewed this year.)

American Water is a great album and deserves every decimal of Pitchfork's 9.9 rating.

Baltimore is my nearest venue. See y'all at the Ottobar.

Texas is a must visit for the Jews, especially here in Austin. What can I say but that the whole Vibe is 'correct.'

It's ironic that the silver jews are playing at the middle east.
