They don't really have tour dates right now, BUT they are playing an acoustic set at Mercury Lounge in NYC on December 29. 2005.

It doesn't feel like they've played much at all since they moved up here.

Am I the only one tired of boring "indie" twaddle that at the end of the day means nothing to no one? I mean do people really give a fuck about the Comas? et al.....

The problem with "indie" music today is that it lacks any of the "indie" ethics that actually made bands special.....20 years later people still adore The Smiths...will anyone care about Bloc Party in 2 years?

The worst bit is living in NYC and reading all of these blogs that herald nonsense like The Fever, stellastarr, etc as actually being important or worthy of our attention . Newsflash! It's all rubbish...."indie stars" who at the end of the day would love nothing more than become proper rock stars.......boring.

I understand that most of the bloggers have only lived in a world where seeling out to the majors or acting like a pompous dickhead are par for the course in the indie scene but that is really no excuse for listening to rubbish.........bands actually used to mean something to people beyond trends, who is fashionable, who is blogged about,etc.......

I mean do people really think Test Icicles are good?

two years... ha, i don't even care about bloc party now. what's up with their name? do they mean a party of an allied group of countries or rather a festive sort of neighborhood party but spell it "bloc" because it's they perceive that to be hipper? eh, then all those sound-alikes....

very much in agreement David... i think only bands like Cat Power, Smog, Oldham, Elliott Smith, Deerhoof, etc., bands with real talent that make sincere music will be appreciated by the next generations. Like some of us young folks still like Kinks' songs other than "you really got me" or Marc Bolan before "bang a gong." I'd like to see some of these new bands' frontmen hang themselves when success comes like Ian Curtis did, but i liked him and that was a shame.

Sounds like all of you need a big hug. And then you need to go on with your life. "Who the fuck cares about The Comas?" A lot of people... But then again I didn't realize that we had to choose our great indy bands according to how helpless and homeless ( or dead) they are. That's a new one on me. Why don't you drop the 'tude (YES, I've always wanted to say that! 'TUDE!!!!). Life Complete. Oh but I was serious... honestly... don't be a prick. You'll live longer and have more friends.
