What a mess TicketWeb is.

My order kept processing for about 5 minutes, then I stopped it but got an email saying I got tickets? What's the deal...
Posted by niTe | January 20, 2006 5:19 PM
Yeah, same problem here. Calling Ticketweb now.
Bank told me money was withdrawn, so hopefully I did get tix.
Posted by Chris | January 20, 2006 5:20 PM
I either got a pair of tickets or I got 10 pairs of tickets... I kept reloading...

I've given up. I keep getting almost to the end until I get a message that says something like "Sorry! Section can't be locked!" with no confirmation email after being processed for a long time.
Either I'm gonna end up with 4 sets of tickets, or none.
Gotta love the Net!

Took me 25 minutes and 9 shots at submitting my final order before it went through.
Jeez, does this mean it's gonna be another scalpers bonanza? is it possible to scalp will-call tickets?

yeah i saw it come through on my bank, but no email, just a "system failed" message -- you'd think ticketweb would be prepared
Posted by C | January 20, 2006 5:32 PM
Great! now they're sold out!
Posted by Qbertplaya | January 20, 2006 5:37 PM
There are still tix for the 1st show available, but damn Ticketweb system is all jacked up....haven't recieved confirmation email but they have charged my account TWICE!
Posted by SF | January 20, 2006 5:44 PM
not sold out yet... i just got a ticket for friday pretty much no problem. i did get an error after the "processing..." screen but then a minute later got a confirmation email, and now it shows up on my ticketweb account, so.. not sold out yet! i had similar problems with ticketweb while getting arctic monkeys/art brut tix on wednesday
Posted by gypsymazzurco | January 20, 2006 5:45 PM
All sold out now.
Posted by dm | January 20, 2006 5:46 PM

On the phone with TWeb right now and they are being dicks. Telling me there are no refunds etc...they don't seem to get that I don't want a refund, I just don't want them to charge me for Tix I am not getting....still haven't gotten an email from them but they ahve charged ny card.
They also say that no one else has called to say that there was a problem with the system. Holler at them.

I was in line at the Mercury Lounge (yeah, there was actually a line). Everyone in the original line got tickets (several people showed up later) but were limited to a pair per night. We all promptly got back in line to get tickets for the rest of our friends. At that point, Ticketweb F'd up, and even the venue couldn't get tickets! After waiting about 15min. I gave up and left (and wasn't even able to get MoB tickets, which is going to be a MUCH better show). If everyone is pissed off, I suggest complaining to Bowery/Mercury Lounge. A few years ago, Ticketweb was bought out by the whores at Ticketmaster, at which point they started hiking up the "convenience" fees. I would prefer it if they sold ALL of their tickets at the box office or OM, and if they want to keep the online thing going, why don't they do it themselves. That way they could keep the "convenience" fees and not send any money to Ticketmaster.

This is absolutely unreal! I cannot even begin to express how flipped I am! Bummer!

Dammit so that's what happened. As of 6:17 I went to the Ticketweb website to double check and it shows that both Fri. and Sat. shows are sold out. When I logged in earlier, I was able to get one ticket (it refused when I clicked for 2 saying there was only one left). I might've been lucky enough to have gotten the last ticket for the Friday show, and I did get a confirmation email and code...

Dammit so that's what happened. I knew the band was big was suprised to find out that when I logged in at 5:45 to buy two tix, it only stated that I could only get one as theres only one left. I was able to purchase it, and it sent out me a confirmation code. I just double checked ticketweb, and as of 6:17 it has that both shows are sold out.

Got one for Saturday! Crazy!
Posted by brassbonanza | January 20, 2006 6:32 PM
GRRRRRR!!!!
No tix and a hold on my bank account. THANX TICKETWEB!!! Further proof that their system just can't handle sales of this magnitude.
SOOOOOO PISSSSEEEDDDD

Glad to see the tickets were all bought up by true fans who are willing to part with them for a mere $349/pair:

I had the same problem where i would enter all my info and get to the confirmation page and then i would get an error...this happened twice and then by the time i got through the 3rd time, saturday was sold out...
i too got charged for all the tickets...but i didn't get an confirmation for them...and the tickets aren't listed in my ticketweb account as part of my 'past orders'...so i'll give ticketweb a call to bitch them out...
if i get stuck with these tickets, how does one scalp will call tickets??
Posted by Maria | January 21, 2006 12:45 AM
If they aren't in your "past orders" then you didn't get them.
Posted by Chris | January 21, 2006 10:42 AM
Got my Vermont tickets and will be checking them out at Higher Ground. Pretty excited.

Uh, any idea about if the show on the 15th at the bowery is actually over 21? ticketweb says it is, but when I bought throught the pre-sale it says "all ages". it also says this on my reciept for it. really, it just seems weird that they would have an over 21 show in the first place.
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2006 12:47 PM
the bowery ballroom almost never has an all-ages show. it's usually 18 and over, though often when bands play more than one night, one the nights will be 21+. since ticketweb and the bowery website states thats its 21 and over, i think its safe to presume that thats what it is.
look on the bright side thoough. you can make a small fortune now selling the tickets on craigslist.
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2006 12:54 PM
well anyone here know how I"d get rid of tickets if I have will call from the pre-sale then? I'll gladly make the trip to the bowery for those prices, I have 2 tickest for saturday.
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2006 1:19 PM
if you do sell the tickets, at least use the money for a fake ID.
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2006 1:33 PM
i dont' know why. i must be a bitter, or a petty person, but seeing the fanatacism and love for this band only makes me more annoyed because I truly believe they are absolutely run of the mill blandness...bah humbug. I will rain on everyone's parade!!!!
Posted by petty | January 21, 2006 1:43 PM
well, my birthday plans to see cyhsy are over now. fuck.
Posted by scott | January 21, 2006 2:52 PM
in my past orders it says i bought two pairs or tickets due to the loading issues, but one says delivery pending and the other says refunded so it looks like they are fixing the problem.
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2006 6:29 PM
I wouldn't be suprised if the shows were moved to webster hall or if more dates were added. Which should mean more tickets. I don't have tickets and basically only go out on firday and saturday, so I hope they move the shows.
