Doveman played w/ Sprinsteen too | Samamidon
CHOCOLATE GENIUS @ THE WINTER GARDEN
You see the ghostly figure hunched over the omnichord in the background of the above photo? That's Thomas Bartlett, aka Doveman, accompanying Chocolate Genius at the Bruce Springsteen tribute show. Thomas and Chocolate were also among those who joined Bruce on stage during the finale.
Chocolate Genius is one of the many projects/people Thomas is involved with. Another is SamAmidon. Sam plays with Thomas in Doveman. Thomas plays with Sam as Sam. Sam plays a free show tonight (Jan 18, 2006) at Sin-e's bar in NYC (with Thomas). Dave Deporis (with Thomas) plays right before them.

Sam figures prominently in Stars Like Fleas too (Thomas records with them). As well as Fiery Furnaces' old drummer Ryan, Shannon from Silent League, and others. When it's good, it's really really good. Tonic tomorrow night with Roxy Pain and Charles Atlas (did a split with Low recently).
