Very good show indeed...except for that one photographer in front of me who kept dancing his ass off. It was kind of distracting...haha.

did anyone notice the early show at rothko tonight? it says sold out????

Posted by shadow | January 21, 2006 3:01 PM

yeah, what is the story with that? does anyone know? any chance to get in at the door early?

Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2006 3:26 PM

Due to unforeseen delays in construction on the Annex (which is a new club), tonight’s show (Saturday, January 21) has been moved to Rothko.

Rothko is located just around the corner at 116 Suffolk Street between Rivington and Delancey. To get there from the Annex, walk South to Rivington then walk East 4 blocks to Suffolk street. The club is just a 1/2 block south on Suffolk.

Rothko is a smaller club and capacity will be limited. Doors are now at 9pm. Due to the limited capacity, please arrive by 10pm in order for us to accommodate ticket-holders and will-call.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

This is a bunch of shit. How many people are going to be turned away? I bet you it'll be a bitch to get a refund if you get turned away. This blows.

What is the capacity of
a.)The annex
b.)Hiro Ballroom

Rothko is 350 max

Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2006 4:14 PM

the annex is supposedly 400.

i think they're probably not gonna let anyone in from the guestlist. that's the fair thing to do.

They blew me away at Rothko last night, holy shit. I had no idea. First time I had seen them and my jaw was wide open thru the first 4 songs.

Posted by Nineteen-ninety-never | January 22, 2006 12:09 PM

full video of 'You Are Fading' from the mercury lounge show on my blog...up for only 7 days.

Posted by ryan | January 22, 2006 1:14 PM

yeah, i was at rothko's last night. to the doubtfuls, i think it's that they had this amazing wall of sound from the first instant. more rich than the recordings. the crowd control wasn't really any worse than any other sold out gig. some guys from the UK were right behind me smoking their spliffs. it was brilliant.

Posted by Anonymous | January 22, 2006 2:33 PM

did anyone not get in?

Posted by Anonymous | January 22, 2006 3:15 PM

rothko review up on the music slut!

Posted by matt | January 22, 2006 8:30 PM

Rothko show rocked ! ~ asked them later that night why they didn't play a bigger venue (?) - "cause we gotta work our way up" - was the answer. Very weird answer - I bet they got asked that all night.
haha !!
