I just back to New York from London and I have seen them play a few times. They are good because they sound like interpol. in fact, they seem to borrow whole riffs from them. you can literally sing interpol's lyrics over their songs... but they are strong musicians, so check them out if you can find tickets (already sold out... curses..)
but i will be nonest still not the best of what the uk has to offer. bands that i am wishing on stars that i cannot see to cross the pond and play for you kind folks are: black wire, the rakes (ok they came over last year but i was not there), the ludes, metro riots, cazals, longeblonds, lupin crook, larrkin love, paddingtons, dustin's barmitzvah and yes, babyshambles..

I know, i know... people call them dustin barshitmah but if you listen to a few demos and see them enough they kinda grow on you... i admit watching them live is like watching the three stooges..
