Joan Wasser's Living Room Residency | guest Rufus Wainwright

Joan Wasser (aka Joan as Policewoman) played her first of four residency shows at the Living Room in NYC Thursday night (January 12, 2006). Her site says that "each week, different special guest musicians and vocalists will join the band". At the first show, it was Rufus Wainwright.

Thanks Christian for this review: "She kicked off the first night of her residency with Rose Polenzani. And during the end of her set, Rufus Wainwright came up and sang vocals on a song called 'To America' which was as he told the audience 'really high, so its going to be beautiful'. It was pretty incredible." And thanks Dave for getting me the above photo.

The remaining residency dates are Jan 19, 26 and Feb 2. FREE.

Antony is also scheduled to be a guest during this residency. According to his website it appears that he won't be in new york until the last two dates of the residency, jan 26 and the following thursday.
Joseph Arthur is also scheduled to join Joan Wasser one Thursday.
