The Pitchfork list is a group effort, and since the site's CD reviews come with numerical ratings assigned by the writer, from 0.0 to 10.0, it's hard to ignore the discrepancies. I think the rating Pitchfork gives a band is one person's opinion right? The overall ranking is probably a vote by all their crits. Anyone happen to know if that's the case?
