The Rolling Stones did not play CBGB last night

The Rolling Stones (and Metric) did/will play MSG in NYC on January 18th & 20th (they're playing the Superbowl too). Last night (the 19th) was their night off, and CBGB listed a mysterious lineup: C Gibbs Review, PdB & the Ex-tensions, and Crewdoo. C Gibbs is country-tinged singer-songwriter from Brooklyn. Crewdoo and PdB don't really exist.

It ends up Crewdoo (and/or PdB) are the Rolling Stones' roadies' band (crew). I think they play somewhere every year (doo). Seemed possbile the Stones, or at least one of them, might play (or at least show up). Rumors were running rampant in the Stones fan-heavy crowd, but it still hadn't happened by 12:40 am. That's when I gave in to my tiredness. The band was still playing. I took off. Of course last time I did something like that, I missed Bruce.

SHIDOOBEE was in the house.

Let me know If you you heard the Stones showed. Keith was at Spamalot, but that ends early.

Who or what fueled the rumor that it was literally the Stones, or members thereof, that would be playing? The bands themselves seemed to believe it, in their emails... or were they... colluding with CBGB's in this deception of... monumental proportions?? The lost sleep, I'll never recover. But I want my goddam money back.

Dear Sirs,

Does anyone here actually know any of the Stones permanent touring Roadies? I am exploring all possibilities at getting in to the Shanghai, China gig on April 8th, which sold-out hours after the 8,500 tickets went on sale. Please, let me know as soon as possible. Thank YOU, kindly.
Sincerily,
Rick
