they were really good on Last Call with Carson Daly last night. those boys know how to make the rock and roll. or whatever it is. i love it.

i like them a lot, but i can't see them getting mainstream big somehow.

mainstream? i have nothing agianst this band at all, but this is their first album and it's on a major. Their sound is decidedly hooky and poppy. Aside from being skinny and adorned in beacon's closet clothes, how exactly are they indie?

I like the album. I am not blown away. I CAN see them making some mainstream waves but the ship will certainly sail on them. I can't see them lasting in those rough waters.

with mainstream big I basically just mean: get franz ferdinand MTV Rolling Stone cover type big. I don't mean get released on a major label. That isn't actually correlated with being big. 93% of albums released on major labels aren't 'big' enough to recoup

I thought the carson show was actually kind of bad considering there where a total of 3 people dancing and the rest of the crowd wasn't really sure what to make of them.

This band just isn't any good.

well i wouldn't really expect the kids to go nuts in a tv studio for any band. it usually takes more than one song to get a crowd moving normally, doesn't it?
