Bravo Silva's guitars stolen? | Finger on the Pulse

Finger on the Pulse Finger on the Pulse host a party at the Lucky Cat in Brooklyn (245 Grand St) every two weeks. TONIGHT (Feb 8) they're DJing Gothamist's Movable Hype party at Knitting Factory featuring Burnside Project, Metal Hearts & Slowlands. Friday (Feb 10) they're turning their party at The Lucky Cat into a fundraiser so Bravo Silva can replace their two guitars that were allegedly stolen at the Syrup Room last week.

Message about the fundraiser below...

-----
"after such an incredible night on friday, we were saddened to hear that two hallow bodied guitars were taken from the syrup room. we've checked with the bands and they're checked their gear and the guitars are still m.i.a. for those who don't know, the syrup room is a complete diy performance space, that houses shows, dance nights, plays and everything else you can imagine. in other words, it is unique and incredible and a place that needs to be respected (we're also talking to the people who tagged the bathroom).

anyways...these guitars are expensive and we're going to do all that we can to get them back and/or raise the money to replace them. with that said, we are donating all of our profits from fotp this friday. in addition to our cut from the bar we will be accepting donations at the door ($1, $3, $5 or empty sparks cans to be redeemed at a later time will be accepted), a raffle with prizes to be announced later this week and of course....

OPEN VODKA BAR MIDNIGHT TO 1AM!!!!!
so tip well on those drinks (free or not), b/c ever penny is going to those guitars.
so please, come out and help out. a place like the syrup don't really exists in new york and this is a good way to show your support. more updates to come."

Thats so shitty about the guitars, at least it was a kicking birthday party.

Wish I could be there.

Why "allegedly" is it in dispute that they were "stolen"?

the syrup room is a really cool place, run by really cool people. it sucks that bullshit like this goes down at places like that.
