"The arrival and timing of element begs the obvious question: What about Roxy, the longest-running gay Saturday night dance party in town? Wood shrugs off the comparison, noting that Bank - due partly to the location of the venue itself - will attract different crowds. For starters, element is a much more intimate affair. Though it features an impressive 10,000 square foot interior, the space is divided into four distinct areas: a 300-capacity dance floor, an overlooking balcony and mezzanine, the sensual Fire Lounge flanking the main room, and of course the cozy Vault downstairs - by far my favorite spot on the tour. Wood believes that such a mixture of environments, with a different vibe in each, will give element a sense that of something for everyone." [HX]
Larry Tee & Josh Wood's new party "Bank" happens every Saturday night at Element in NYC. You can also catch Larry tonight (Wed, Feb 22) at mini-Nouveau @ Lit Lounge in NYC (FREE). It also happens to be LIT's 4th anniversary (Happy Birthday).
