Friday nights (Love Parade) @ Fontanas | Oxford Collapse
The regular lineup of NYC hipster parties is not for everyone. 'Love Parade' Friday night at Fontana's is. The Lower East Side NYC venue is huge. The front of the place is a long bar with room to walk and booths against the wall. The back has a pretty big dance floor, another bar, and more seats. Overlooking the dance floor is another small area that includes the DJ booth. That's where the indie-celebrity DJs spin a mix of indie rock, metal and whatever. In the basement is yet another room that will cost you a few bucks to enter becuase that's where the bands play.
OXFORD COLLAPSE @ FONTANA'S | FEB 17, 2006

I was there last Friday (Feb 17, 2006). Jayson from Panthers was the DJ. Cat from Fannypack was up next. (They're actually the resident DJs). Oxford Collapse was playing in the basement. I missed Cause Co-Motion who played before them.
