Jimmy Edgar | album stream, free show & tour

Color Strip A new AOL Music album stream that I didn't link to earlier is Jimmy Edgar's Color Strip (click to stream). It ends up it's the one I'm listening to the most. Blair at Music for Robots says, "Edgar's music is some of the sickest modern electro I've heard in a while - all sliced, diced, and chopped up beats, with super-deep warbly bass lines, and melodies that make my head spin." You can buy the album at Insound.

To celebrate the release of the record, Edgar is perorming a free show TONIGHT (Thursday, Feb 23, 2006) in NYC @ Rothko. Doors = 9PM. Tricia Romano says, "The Warp producer is performing one of his famously raucous live p.a.'s..."

If you miss it, Edgar will be back supporting Jamie Lidell in April.
