how the hell do bands like magic numbers and the elected play a venue like webster hall but not bowery??? they would probably/possibly sellout a show at bowery, but a show at webster hall...? surely, this is not even close to a sellout. has bowery ballroom become the redheaded stepchild in the bowery productions threesome?

Like many of you, I absolutely loathe Webster Hall and I try to avoid it as much as possible, but The Magic Numbers sold out a show at Bowery Ballroom (and an additional "secret" show at Mercury Lounge the night after that) back in November, so this is logically the next step up for them. Whether they'll sell it out or not is another question. Personally, I'm more bummed about Editors skipping Bowery Ballroom, but I think their popularity here justifies it at this point.

Dude the Magic Numbers did sell out the Bowery ballroom last year. I think this will sell out as well.
