The National on Bruce, CYHSY, soccer, etc...
Matt Berninger: ...Apparently Bruce liked our version. But unfortunately I left right after the song to come home and watch 'The West Wing', and it turns out the rest of the guys in the band drank whiskey with him for an hour or so....
Matt Berninger: ...Most of the shows were great. There were one or two awkward shows where a lot of people left when they were finished, so we had to stiff up and face that situation. But all in all the tour went really well and we got along really well....
Matt Berninger: ...Yeah, we won at soccer. They're better players, but we, well, we cheated. I guess that's really part of it. We played dirty soccer....
