it is rather annoying that wolfmother and wolf parade are doing shows in the northeast at the exact same time...how does one choose which wolf bands to see??

Go see Wolfmother. Saw them at Northsix on Sunday night and they rocked the f**k out!

Wolfmother is definitely worth checking out. They may sound Sabbath-esque (and this may not be your sound of choice), but they'll grow on you. The MSTRKRFT remix of "Woman" is what hooked me...
