Too many bands out there these days & it's a bit hard to distinguish em' fr. one another..these guys rock!! Im just tired of the screamo crap!! So some said they suck?? hehehe has ur band ever played on SNL, sold over 360 thou cd and been on tour outside US?

I actually thought it was pretty good. I haven't seen them live before, but what I saw makes me like them.

Well i saw their performance of both songs and i think there was nothing wrong. Might not be their best performance but a good one. I think the crowd sucks!!! The man that yawned didn't know good music.

I think people are entitled to like or dislike a band for whatever reason they see fit. I think sometimes it's too easy to say suck/doesn't suck. If you dislike something...say why, and not "they suck" like a beavis impression, because that is what it sounds like. Anyway, I thought the band had a great sound even though this performance was not their best.

the reason the monkeys are so popular in the uk is due to their lyrics, is almost impossible for the US market to relate to their stuff. i doubt many would know what a 'topshop princess'or 'mardy bum' is. you can only understand the monkeys if your familiar with british culture.... chavs, council estates, the finer things in life...the monkeys are genius.. enough said.

I liked the performance well enough. I love the band, their lyrics are amazing. It's nice to have a band actually telling kick ass stories in their songs. (Though I admit, I've had to look up some lyrics before being able to figure out what the story).

I Saw the SNL rerun last night. Clean performance of a tough tune - guitar wise. Low energy but very crisp. As far as yawning....what do expect from a PUnk attitude. Good for Alex.

Alright, alright. Arctic Monkeys are a very good band. They really haven't been playing that long. The front man and his buddy, Alex Turner and Jamie Cook, got their guitars like three years ago. Sure there songs are a little rough around the edges, but thats what makes them great. They're not trying to be perfect. They don't care what the media says. They are one of the few bands out there who do what they want to do. I understand they use sayings that we don't understand, but all you have to is look up a couple words. Mardy just means grumpy and Topshop is a store. A clothing store. Its like Abercrombie or American Eagle. There songs have a lot we could relate too. Like your girlfriend getting mad at you or you can't get into a club or some guy is trying to pick up the girl you like. And this is why the most of the world strongly dislikes Americans. We judge to quickly and dislike anything we think we can't relate too. We're all snobs. Great.

artic monkeys are worse than jonas brothers. They got rid of the fat bass player because he didn't fit image of the band. They tried to cover it up by saying "he was too tired from touring so he quit the band" but anyone can read between the lines. If you are too fat and look boring, you cant be artic bullshit monkey.
