Gorillaz on sale, but sold out

I had two tickets reserved, but during the final step of checkout I got an error that forced me to start over. By the time I did, all the tickets were gone!

UPDATE: didn't sell out as quickly as I thought. keep trying (thx commenters)

Keep trying, I just pulled up two for Monday night. Sometimes people throw the tickets back and they become available again.

This show isnt the holograms just so people know. DEMON DAYS LIVE is not to be confused with the unprecedented live holographic tour the Gorillaz team and animation house Passion Pictures are currently producing for 2007-2008. The live Gorillaz shows will be a unique cross between live performance and a theme park experience, with the band fully present onstage, rendered in 3 eye-popping dimensions. Crucially, the show will evolve over the life of the tour, like any live performance, will feature stellar guests from Demon Days, and will ultimately bring the unique visual identity created by Jamie Hewlett to a live audience.

tssk, you are all foolish to be going to this show. does anyone remember the hammerstein ballroom show in support of thier first album?? That was arguably the worst show I have ever been to. They played 19-2000 twice because it was a hit.

me gots sun, wed, and thurzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

that show at hammerstein was amazin, cept they didnt have del there. this is gonna be the real dealllllllllllllllllllll

Posted by thigh master | March 10, 2006 12:35 PM

I'm with you Thighs, that Hammerstein was probably one of the best shows I've ever heard live. As far as seen, another story.

Anyone want to go Sylvia's for chicken and waffles before the show?

Posted by musicsnobbery | March 10, 2006 12:42 PM

sylvia's?

amy ruth's is the truthz!!!

Posted by thigh master | March 10, 2006 1:06 PM

is this the line for Metallica?

Posted by chip dick | March 10, 2006 1:12 PM

not to ruin the mood or anything, but does anybody think the tickets are a bit pricey? 75 + whatever charges. Yikes!

Also, for all of you expecting to see the wonderful Apollo. Its not that great. Its like the Beacon, only not as nice, and in Harlem. Yippee.

Posted by steve | March 10, 2006 1:31 PM

Well, those are pricey, but they had $25 tickets as well. The view may be a little obstructed, but i'm fine with it, it's alot cheaper.

Posted by brassbonanza | March 10, 2006 1:37 PM

where would the $25 tickets be...outside with binoculars? I'm in upper mezz left and i'm paying $80???!!

Posted by starslight | March 10, 2006 2:31 PM

thats where they said i am as well. Upper deck, left side.

Posted by brassbonanza | March 10, 2006 2:40 PM

$80? Brilliant. You could see eight concerts for that.

The more people keep paying this, the more they'll keep charging it.

Posted by J | March 10, 2006 3:38 PM

... and you will keep missing them. If you don't like them, that's fine... but if you do like them either wait until 2007-2008 or listen to the album on the subway.

Posted by Anonymous | March 10, 2006 5:52 PM

I actually paid 85, and I don't have any complain with the actual price of the ticket (you could get one for 27)... what I regret is to pay the f*c%|n9 fees to ticketmaster.

Tickets Are Back OnSale!

Posted by brassbonanza | April 1, 2006 11:39 AM

dude. you rule. i got a center orchestra, ten rows back for wednesday.

Posted by Anonymous | April 1, 2006 1:20 PM

As much as I would love to see experience this, and I'm sure it would be and "experience", $170 for a pair is just too much. Especially with Radiohead tix going on sale any day now.
